On Tuesday, May 24th the world stopped once again to mourn the loss of innocent lives in the aftermath of a mass shooting in Uvalde, Texas.First responders, victim advocates and all those who contribute to the healing of those impacted by crime in the Coordinated Community Response continue to bear witness to trauma. We are not okay and that is okay, however, the next step is care for ourselves and address our secondary trauma so that we are able to continue to do work that heals and help others to rebuild. This month's conversation focuses on taking time for you and exploring the signs of compassion fatigue and strategies to prevent.You are your first client!
