WEST PALM BEACH, FL — Police said they are trying to urgently identify a young man who threatened to shoot people at a weekend Pride event in West Palm Beach.
"These were hate-filled threats targeted at a 'gay event' in Palm Beach County and the West Palm Beach Police Department is committed to ensuring the safety of our residents, visitors and anyone who comes to our city," Mike Jachles, public information officer for the West Palm Beach Police Department, told WPBF-TV.
According to police, they learned Sunday that a Black male, about 15-25 years old, made a video online threatening to shoot people at the "Pride on the Block" event in Palm Beach County.
In the video, the suspect is seen wearing a zip-up, long-sleeve shirt with a black bottom and red top and arms, wielding a handgun and claiming to be a Palm Beach County resident.
