Logo design is one important step of the overall branding, you need to check out your competitors and see how they are branding their products and services in order to get into the depth of it. The more you study your brand the more ideas you will have about your logo design and how your overall logo should be. It often becomes quite a bit of a hassle for the brands to draw inspiration from someone that is why people like me look for the designers to make me a logo. A brand without a logo is incomplete and you cannot imagine it. Therefore, it is important to have your logo designed ready and should be according to your brand personality. However, there are a few rules that you must follow in order to ensure your logo design is accurate and explains your brand effectively. 1) Minimalism is the Key Do not go for the logos that are congested and have way too much information in them that it gets confusing for the customer to understand what the brand is about. You have to follow the formula of understanding the audience and getting right into their depth of them to portray the logo that they want. People often do not give much importance to the overall look and feel of the logo and add as much information to the logo as they seem important. That is one big mistake that we do not recommend at all. 2) Preliminary Sketches Whatever idea you have in your mind, you need to get it sketched. The moment you think you have the idea, copy it on the paper before you forget or lose it. It is one effective step in designing a creative and cool logo. The sketch can be as simple as a paper pen drawing or you can use some vectors as well. All you need to make sure is you are not skipping any step and getting right to the point by following every step. Trust us, you will be making at least 20-30 sketches before you come down to the one final sketch. If you think nothing is working, cut them all and start the whole process again. The best designer spends more effort and time on the preliminary work. 3) Balance It Balance is everything, when it is about the logo, you have to make sure you are not overdoing or underdoing anything. Everything should be in the right balance or else you are going to lose its charm of it. When the design is rightly balanced, it appears more appealing and pleasing to the audience. You can keep your logo balanced by keeping all the sizes, colors, and weights of the graphics equal on both sides. Even though the overall role of balancing can be broken oftentimes and the result is spectacular. However, everything should be rightly measured and speculated. 4) Size them Right When we talk about logo designing, you cannot ignore sizes in any way. You must make sure the sizing is always right. When the logo is not effective it loses quite a lot of its definition when the designer scales it down, particularly for the letterheads or other small promotional elements. The logo has to look perfect in every formal be it small posts like letterhead or broachers or big billboards etc. You must know that the smallest scales are usually the hardest to make, therefore, it is better if you start by printing it in the smaller version first and then go to the bigger and sharper sizes. 5) Be Clever with the Colors Colors can make or break your logo; the right selection of colors can get you the right and attractive logos. Therefore, it is important you choose the colors that represent your brand and explain your brand personality just right. However, not many people make the right decision as they end up getting something that does not resonate with their brand. Color theory can be quite difficult for you, but you need to research it a bit or get a consultation from the experts of Ingenious Gurus, they know the right theory of the colors and can guide you the best. Do not go with the colors that are too hard for the eyes, or the colors too light that would just fade. The balance is the key!
