HUNTINGTON STATION, NY — Two were arrested on Friday night during a New York State Liquor Authority inspection at a Huntington Station deli, Suffolk police said.
Law enforcement investigated Yari's Deli, at 1962 New York Ave., around 9:45 p.m. Friday, following numerous complaints from members of the community, police said.
Randall Placido-Gonzales, 20, of Huntington Station, the manager of the deli, was charged with possession of a gambling device (a class A misdemeanor), police said.
Karla Osorio, 45, of Huntington Station, was charged with first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child (a class A misdemeanor) after she sold alcohol to a minor, police said. Osorio also lied about her name to a police officer, police said, and faces a false personation charge (class A misdemeanor).
Six gambling machines and one cash counter were seized as evidence, police said.
The liquor authority issued seven SLA violations and The Town of Huntington Fire Marshal issued two violations to the deli. Town of Huntington Code Enforcement is set to issue violations at a later date when it finishes its investigation, police said.
The arrestees are slated to be arraigned at a later date.
