Want to feel the rush of speed as you come out of a turn? Take a whirl on the banked track and find out! Intermediate and above skaters who have their own skates, helmet, knee pads and wrist guards are welcome to step up on the track. We will have our experienced trainers give basic help with navigating the banked track so you can get the most out of it safely, then there will be time to get a feel for the track and skate it at your own pace. If there's time then we will also play a few of the Derby Dolls non-contact games for fun on track! This class is recommended for roller skaters who feel comfortable and stable rolling around at the beach, skate park or roller rink, can easily skate upright, in control of themselves and know a basic stop. There will be no hitting during this class, we are saving the contact for another day. All genders are welcome to join in on the fun, if you have skates and want to have a good time then we can't wait to skate with you! Afterwards catch the parade as it goes past the Derby Dolls arena THINGS TO KNOW Plan to arrive at least 20 minutes before the start time to gear up.Don't forget your gear! Bring your skates, helmet, knee pads, and wrist guards. The LA Derby Dolls track will be located in the lot behind the Hollywood Athletic Club at 1528 Schrader Blvd.
