Community of Hope is excited to host United Methodist activist, author, speaker, and preacher J.J. Warren on Saturday, June 25. J.J. will deliver a keynote presentation, "Living into the UMC of Tomorrow, Today." This event will also feature a catered lunch, keynote presentation, panel discussion, and book signing. J.J. Warren is a public theologian, speaker, activist and author of Reclaiming Church: A Call to Action for Religious Rejects (Abingdon Press, 2020). After making an impassioned plea for the inclusion of LGBTQ+ people at the United Methodist Church’s top law-making assembly, J.J.’s speech went viral, and he has since traveled the world spreading a message of radical love and forward progress. J.J. is currently working on a Master of Divinity degree at Boston University School of Theology. He is a certified candidate for ordained ministry in the United Methodist Church, a delegate to General Conference, and a lover of mint chocolate-chip ice cream! Tickets are available for Saturday's events. $30 tickets: Includes Catered Lunch from The Café at the Crossing, Keynote Presentation, Discussion Panel, and Book Signing starting at 12:00 p.m. in Wesley Hall. Ticket also includes one copy of J.J. Warren's book, Reclaiming Church. You may add on an additional lunch for $15 (for couples & families only needing one copy of the book). $15 tickets: Keynote Presentation, Discussion Panel, and Book Signing only. Does not include lunch. Includes a copy of J.J. Warren's book, Reclaiming Church. Starts at 1:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary. Also, J.J. will be our guest preacher on Sunday, June 26, at 10 a.m. This is J.J.'s first visit to Indiana, so please mark your calendars for this exciting weekend!
