HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Monday at 11:30 a.m., Howard County Executive Calvin Ball and Congressman John Sarbanes will be hosting a roundtable with Howard County Public School System Superintendent Dr. Michael Martirano to discuss the HCPSS school-based mental health program and the need for mental and behavioral health services. Ball included more than $2 million in his fiscal year 2023 budget to support school based mental health for every student in every public school and provide wrap-around services to students who are most vulnerable. The roundtable will be held at the county board of education's central office, 10910 Clarksville Pike, in Ellicott City.
