North By West Construction senior staff has a combined experience of over 60 years in the construction trade. Residential construction is what we do. And we pride ourselves on doing it well. Our team is hand-selected for their artistic eye, proficient workflow, and attention to detail. We also offer clients state of the art, cloud-based project management and provide aerial imagery updates. We are a small but growing construction firm based in Oakland. We specialize in custom, high-end residential remodels and additions, as well as historic restoration. We are looking for self-motivated people with a good attitude to grow with our company. We work hard for our clients and try to have a good time doing it. We are currently looking for an Apprentice to join our crew. Quality work for our clients is our top priority. Apprentices should: Have a strong work ethic. Be capable of completing tasks quickly, as instructed, and unsupervised. Be able to do general construction labor work. Have a driver's license reliable transportation. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. We offer competitive wages plus bonuses. Applicants must have a willingness to work, drivers license plus vehicle, and an eye for detail. Many of our jobs are within the city of Alameda. However, we take projects as far east as Walnut Creek, south to San Leandro, and north to Richmond. We do not take projects in San Francisco. Wage plus bonuses based on experience and skill level. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour COVID-19 considerations: Sanitizers, disposable face masks, and wash stations are provided on job sites.
