Under general supervision, the Landscape Technician is responsible for the maintenance and growth of various trees, ornamental plants, as well as upkeep and outside maintenance of grounds and buildings. This position provides landscape coverage to two wineries with two days at the Pritchard Hill OVID winery and three days at the Oakville Silver Oak winery. The required work week is Tuesday through Saturday. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: · Performs grounds keeping tasks for maintaining and caring for assigned landscape areas. · Prepares soil for sowing seeds, watering of turf and ornamental ground covers. · Operates grounds keeping equipment, such as power mowers and blowers. Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies. · Prunes, transplants, and culls ornamental plants. · Maintains sidewalks, driveways, building entrances and other assigned areas. · Pick up and dispose of debris. · Follows all safety policies and procedures. Maintains a clean and safe work environment. · May be required to assist with landscaping tasks and projects at other locations, based on business needs. · Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
