Description
We need to be willing to have tough conversations. It is not enough, and has never been enough, to be simply "not racist," we must be vehemently anti-racist. We have to be willing to do the hard work to put an end to brutality, to racism, to inequities, to bigotry.
HREI is sponsoring its annual panel discussion covering broad community issues of COVID - 19 recovery, extremism, racial inequity, community policing and supports for law enforcement, claims of education indoctrination, environmental issues, 1st and second amendment rights, housing and jobs as it pertains to growth, censorship, LGBTQ+ rights, gun violence and mental wellness, sex and drug trafficking, and other issues causing incivility in our region. Together, local city and county representatives, students, members of color and marginalized groups from your communities answer questions, tell their stories, and find solutions to move past racial and equity disparities and into a new change in culture and systems.
This session will be filmed and in-person attendance is limited.
