Join us for a morning of connection to others and ourselves! We will share sacred cacao and conversation followed by a sound journey led by Ashley Amazon. Cacao is an ancient drink of unprocessed cocoa with amazing properties and benefits. It has been utilized in Central and South America for a millenea. Try some and you'll see why! After sipping the ceremonial cacao, we will be treated to a lovely sound bath featuring singing bowls, chimes and other relaxing sounds. For the event: 👉Please bring your Yoga Mat and/or blankets/lawn chair/whatever you desire to create your comfy nest & comfortably sit or lay down on for the sound bath 🙃 👉Please bring your journal or some paper along with a writing utensil as you may feel called to write something that comes up for you during the gathering. Prompts for conversation I may ask you to write something down 👉 Bring some water or tea to sip on 👉We suggest not eating 2 hours prior to the gathering as cacao is best absorbed by your body on an empty stomach. 👉Yourself! Think about setting an intention for yourself... what do you want to receive from this experience working with mama cacao, this heart opening medicine? What kind of energy do you wish to bring to the circle or call in for yourself during our gathering? Please note: We ask that participants arrive a few minutes prior to the start time in order to allow yourself to get acquainted with the space, use the restroom, ask questions, etc. If you should have any questions about the event, please contact the organizer and we will get back to you as soon as we can! Ashley "Amazon" Edes is a force and a spirit! She hails from Newport and brings her thirst for adventure, travel and excitement in everything she does. After graduating from URI, she decided to follow her heart to become a professional sailor, which she is still persuing full time. Ashley has many passions, including sharing her love of cacao as a cacao practitioner. Most recently, she has taken up geometric string art, which she loves to teach. Ashley LOVES creating communal spaces that draw people together, to promote connecting with one another with the RAW N REALS of our shared humanity AND to inspire growth and creative expression! She plans to continue to learn, teach and connect deeply with and inspire others while providing opportunities and exchanges that contribute to our individual and collective conscious ascension.
