Press release from the City of Portsmouth: In anticipation of this project, staff reduced the number of monthly pass holders at the Hanover Garage. These adjustments made over the past 3 years will allow operation of the garage without displacement of current monthly pass holders. Transient traffic, however, will be affected by the reduced inventory. These patrons will use Foundry Garage or on-street parking. Residents and downtown businesses are reminded to take advantage of the Resident Discount (50 cents per hour discount on-street parking) and Downtown Workforce Parking Program that offer significant incentives to park at the Foundry Garage.
