Le Nom du LacA Summer Celebration of the 1679 Christening of Lake Saint ClairReturning to our tradition of a summer fundraiser to support and celebrate the history of the Grosse Pointes, this year’s event will be held on the grounds of The Grosse Pointe Academy, overlooking Lake Saint Clair. Originally the Convent and Academy of the Sacred Heart, the property features historic buildings from two centuries, ambling paths and by-ways and an unparalleled view of the Lake. Party-goers will celebrate under tents on the grounds, with Michigan-themed gourmet food accompanied by period music and reenactors. Classic cars will be on display.
