HOOKSETT, NH — A woman from Allenstown was arrested on aggravated driving under the influence and other charges after an incident in Hooksett on Friday.
Around 9 a.m., officers received a report of a car with lane control issues in the area of West River Road and Cross Road. While heading to the area, another report was called in to police about a blue Mitsubishi sedan crashing into a tractor-trailer unit and then, driving away from the area. The car was located later on Main Street, by the bridge, and stopped.
The officer accused the driver, Holly Dutton, 38, of Allenstown, of smelling like alcohol and admitting to drinking during questioning. After a field sobriety test, she was arrested on a driving under the influence charge.
"There was an open container of alcohol in the vehicle," Sgt. Joseph Ducharme of the Hooksett Police Department said. "Dutton was transported to the Hooksett Police Department where she was asked to take a breath test and agreed. The test resulted in a BrAC of 0.29. Dutton."
The charge against Dutton was elevated to aggravated driving under the influence-0.16+ as well as conduct after an accident and open container charges. She was processed and released on personal recognizance. Dutton is due in court on June 17.
