BOYBoat. We'll meet at noon at the boat ramp at Graehl Park. I'll have the kayak in the event photo and a teal PFD. We'll have one person stay with the boats while we shuttle cars to the takeout at Pikes. Plan 3-4 hours to float through town. Optional dinner/drinks at the take out, or another location TBD. We'll make sure anyone who can't stay can get shuttled back to their car. ** PLEASE NOTE: Ambassadors are not wilderness first aid certified and are not guides. This is a casual get together for shared outdoor enthusiasts. Safety is a top priority; please plan accordingly.** Event Guidelines (for Covid): By registering for this event, participants agree to abide by the guidelines set forth by Women Who Explore which include: - Practice social distancing - Carry a personal hygiene kit (mask and hand sanitizer) and have it available during the event -Practice self-awareness and do not attend if you have had any flu-like symptoms, exposed to or have tested positive for Covid in the last 14 days. Post-event; anyone who develops flu-like symptoms within 14 days after joining an event should contact the ambassador and Women Who Explore at [email protected]. Liability Waiver: Friendly reminder that it is required to sign the e-waiver before attending your first Women Who Explore event. Bring a boat (kayak, canoe, SUP, pack raft), paddle, life jacket, water and sunscreen for the float. Extra layers and a rain coat in a dry bag are recommended in case the weather turns on us. CANCELLATIONS If you are registering for one of our group events, we ask that you are 100% committed to attending when you register. If you reserve a spot and are unable to attend, please cancel as soon as possible on Eventbrite. We ask that you try to cancel a minimum of 3 days prior to the day of the event as this allows other women who would like to attend the ability to plan to join us.
