Press release from the Wright County Government: June 3, 2022 A Message from the Minnesota Department of Human Services: MDH is offering a one-time grant program through Lutheran Social Services Kinship Navigator, which is open to relatives and kin who are caring for children that came into their care outside of child protection or family court proceedings. Families with formal guardianship or receiving support through foster care maintenance payments are not eligible for this program. Among the items that the $500 grants can be used for include groceries, clothing, household materials, medical costs, school supplies, technology to support distance learnings, home or vehicle modifications, child care, respite care, summer programs such as camps and legal assistance.
