Here are the top three stories in Hoover today: Hoover is gearing up to help host The World Games 2022. This July, The Hoover Met will be hosting Women's softball; it's slated to be one of the more accessible events. Hoover Mayor Frank Brocato said, "Make no mistake about it. This is Birmingham's show, but Hoover is doing all they can to play a supporting role and make sure this is an excellent event for the entire region." (WVTM13 Birmingham)Protective Stadium in Birmingham saw a record attendance on Saturday. People from all over flocked to the stadium, located about 20 minutes from Hoover, for a sold-out Garth Brooks concert on Saturday.
