We are an established South Portland general contractor looking for a full time HANDYPERSON or PUNCH LIST LABORER who is reliable, hardworking with a wide skillset, and friendly (represents the company well with homeowner clients). Should be able to work well individually. Must be authorized to work in the US with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Pay range is $25/hour depending on experience. Experience in Construction, Property Management Maintenance, and/or Carpentry is required for the position. This is a full time position, Monday through Friday, typically from 7am-4pm. Work areas are in Greater Portland and Southern Maine region. Benefits include 401K, Holiday pay, and Vacation time after a 90-day waiting period. JOB DECRIPTION The position will primarily work to renovate apartment units, which includes ordering and coordinating materials, and scheduling & overseeing sub-contractors onsite, as needed. Tasks may include installing appliances, flooring, tile, cabinetry, lighting fixtures, plumbing fixtures (vanities, tubs, sinks, faucets), doors (interior and fire doors), plus perform general repairs as needed. Other tasks may include drywall patching, touch-up painting, light carpentry, etc. You will work with a variety of materials and expected to safely use hand tools and power tools. Additional duties may be assigned, including assisting with "punch list" items on other jobsites in Southern Maine. Employee should be able to follow directions, maintain a clean workspace, adhere to safety guidelines and possess good time management/organizational skills.
