Seeking Vaccinated Bass Player for Casual Weekly Jam in Nashua
Meets
Nashua NH
Description
Unfortunately our bass player is moving to NC, so... Have you been promising yourself for years that you’re finally going to seek out other musicians to play with (take that, Grammar Nazis!)? Have you been trolling the Craigslist Musicians ads but don’t feel you’re “ready” or have the chops to respond to a posting? Were you in a band before life happened and you found yourself having to start acting like a mature, responsible adult, and you haven't played in a long, long time? If so, maybe you should drop us a line... We are shaking off years worth of dust from our instruments and skills, thanks to COVID, so please don’t feel intimidated. That being said, three older (50+), less-refined “gentlemen” (drums & 2 guitars) are seeking a bass player. We are also VERY open to other instruments as well. Except guitar players. We’re all set there for now. So don’t be shy... Our goal is to have fun while playing classic rock, southern rock, and some raunchy-sounding blues. Our influences are varied: The Beatles, Grateful Dead, Jimmy Buffett, Eric Clapton, The Band, Dylan, Tom Petty, Zeppelin, CCR, The Rolling Stones, The Allman Brothers Band, etc. The list goes on and on and on and on... We try and get together once a week (usually Tuesday or Wednesday around 6ish, but we are open to other days/times) and MAYBE hit an open mic every now and then. We are of varying musical abilities and pretty laid back. Our main goal is to have fun playing music. No egos, drugs, rock stars, attitudes, or drama. We have pro gear and a Deadiciated (see what I did there?) practice space in a finished basement with PA and mixer. Must tolerate cats and dogs. The cats you’ll probably never see, but the dog has been known to sneak downstairs from time to time to accompany the band on vocals. If this interests you, respond with questions, comments, and/or concerns. Current, past, and future song list is below. We look forward to hearing from you! P.S. We will make every effort to tolerate and accommodate non-New England sports fans. Maybe not every effort, but we’ll consider it. No promises...;) P.S.S. The guitarist is a left-leaning, dirt-worshiping, tree-hugging hippie who doesn’t really like debating politics with those who have opposing views. Just thought that needed to be said=) ** Songs We have Played and/or are Currently Playing ** Bad Moon Rising - CCR Breakdown - Tom Petty Brown Sugar - Rolling Stones Cherry Bomb - John Cougar Mellancamp Cocaine - Eric Clapton Come Monday - Jimmy Buffett Dead Flowers - Rolling Stones Eight Days A Week - The Beatles Give Me One Reason - Tracy Chapman Handle with Care - Traveling Wilburys Have You Ever Seen the Rain? - CCR In My Life - Beatles Let the Good Time Roll - Grateful Dead Lodi - CCR Lyin’ Eyes - Eagles Matchbox - Carl Perkins / The Beatles Me and Bobby McGee - Grateful Dead Me and my Uncle - Grateful Dead Mean Woman Blues - Roy Orbison Melissa - ABB Midnight Special - CCR Night Moves - Bob Seger Peaceful Easy Feeling - Eagles Pink Houses - John Cougar Mellencamp Pretty Woman - Roy Orbison Refugee - Tom Petty Ripple - Grateful Dead Sister Golden Hair - America Southern Cross - CSN&Y Suzie Q Sweet Home Chicago - Eric Clapton Tequila Sunrise - Eagles The Midnight Special - CCR The Weight - The Band Tin Man - America Touch of Grey - Grateful Dead Tulsa Time - Eric Clapton U.S. Blues - Grateful Dead Wagon Wheel - OCMS Who’ll Stop the Rain? - CCR
