COMPANY Coastal Boilers specializes in boiler and water heater repairs, installs, and service. We maintain and repair a wide range of makes and models of gas fired boilers and water heaters. Types of systems include heating systems, domestic hot water, pool systems, and various other uses for boilers and water heaters. Coastal Boilers is looking for someone who wants to grow with the company, who is dedicated, responsible and hardworking. Boiler techs must be able to be reliable, self sufficient and trust worthy. Techs are the face of our company and the way we grow together. Hourly rate to be determined on hard work and experience. Our customers are located in the Greater Los Angeles area, Ventura county, Orange County etc, so employees will be required to drive to multiple properties throughout Southern California. Hours will vary but looking for full time, employees will rotate being on call on weekends and holidays. The main office is located in Camarillo, employees not in the area are NOT required to come to the office daily and will leave to jobs directly from their home. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS FOR APPLICANTS The basic qualifications include a high school diploma or general equivalency diploma at minimum and a valid drivers license with a clean driving record. Mechanical skills and electrical skills are important in today’s boilers. Applicants must have experience working on Raypak, Lochinvar and/or LAARS boilers. To be a successful Boiler Technician, a candidate must have excellent listening skills so he may effectively understand clients' issues, must be mechanically inclined and be able to kneel, stoop, crawl or squat, and lift heavy equipment without exception. He should possess exceptional problem solving skills. Additionally, he should be responsible when working alone and while working with others on the job site, rude and/or disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated. DUTIES Boiler technician duties include routine maintenance, such as servicing, repairing and installing boilers, some plumbing repairs and other related work. WORKING CONDITIONS Boiler technicians can work in mechanical rooms and boiler rooms that vary in size and cleanliness. Employees at times may be exposed to many different weather elements in addition to various chemicals used in different boiler rooms, pool mechanical rooms, etc. MEDICAL INSURANCE Coastal Boilers offers Kaiser Permanente medical insurance to full time employees.
