Description
As an exciting new step, my studio-mate has gotten into graduate school for their MFA! Sadly this means that I am looking for a new person to share this amazing space with.
Located in Temescal area, the studio is about 15x25 feet with windows and glass doors. The space is a back cottage of a wonderful couple who have become like family to me over the years. The space is well lit and cozy. There is access to the bathroom and kitchen just inside the house. Rent is $300.00 a month and move in would be June 1st.
A bit about me:
I am a 30 year old queer white woman who works primarily in photography, but across mediums including video, collage, and social practice. I graduated from California College of the Arts with an MFA in 2017 and currently work for two artists in the bay. When working in the studio most of my time is spent editing on the computer, making photographs, or collaging. Outside of the studio I enjoy the outdoors, exploring new places, and reading.
A bit about you:
I am looking for someone who is friendly and kind. You prioritize open communication, are in support/in community with LGBTQ+ and PoC, and are passionate about your art practice! I'm also open to someone using the space for gear storage, or misc needs.
If you are interested please respond with a bit about yourself, your practice, and what you are looking for in a space!
Accessibility:
Access to the studio is through the driveway which is a bit rough in places but traversable. Often there are cars blocking the pathway. There is one short step into the studio. There is a shallow ramp to the patio and then there are three steps on the back porch to enter the house.
