Our team at Diehl needs a handful of machine operators to cut and mill steel with us. We have openings on both shifts. Work here is Monday to Friday, 9 hour shifts. Overtime is paid at 1.5x, and you get a 30 min lunch per shift.
Holidays are paid (11-12 days/year) and you also get 5 days of PTO. There's monthly bonuses based on if production exceeds its goals, as well as company provided lunch a few times each month.
Our current team is about 35-40 members strong, split between our two shifts.
Core skills needed to excel in these roles:
-Read a tape measure to at least quarter inch accuracy
-Convert Decimals to Fractions and vice versa
-Comfortable learning to our operate saws, CNCs, and other modern industrial equipment
-Intrinsically motivated, enjoy autonomy - you will have a lot of freedom to set your own pace in this position. You need to be someone who likes to watch your numbers go up and is driven to keep up with the rest of the crew.
