Description
I'm trying to lock down a studio apartment ASAP but I'm stuck out of state until July. I just need someone to check out a listing for me.
Me: part time student at UM studying language, go Grizzlies. Also bartender.
You: not a weirdo. Possibly also a student who doesn't mind $100 for about an hour of work. An awesome person and my hero.
So this is what I'm thinking. You'll set up an appointment at the listing I send you. Give the property management company a phone call, set up an appointment for this week, and get the confirmation e-mail. Then later on you go to the rental property telling them you're representing me, you take a video / ask some questions I have for the place, complete the tour and send me that video. I'll venmo you $50 when I receive the forwarded confirmation e-mail, and another $50 when I receive the video.
How's that sound? For about an hour of work you can have a crisp $100. That's a lot of drinks you can buy! Or you can take your partner out, buy that game you always wanted (or hell, 2 games), burn it, you can do whatever you want you're a free person in a free land!
Send me a text. I've taken the risk of putting my info on craigslist but take that as a sign of determination (desperation). But send me a text. We can text or even phone call just to verify we are both real people, and then we can talk details about the listing I've been looking at. If I don't trust you I'm walking away from the conversation, if you don't trust me you do the same, and we clean our hands of the situation.
But if all goes well I get closer to getting this apartment, and you get $100. Now if I get the place and you turn out to be very cool and we get along, I would buy you enough drinks to swim in when I get to Missoula. I'd be very grateful.
Hmu,
Jay
