Greenlawn Sod Co., in conjunction with A-G Sod Farms, Inc. successfully expanded to southern California in the early 1990’s and continues to be one of the largest sod suppliers in the Southwest. We also recently expanded into the Pacific Northwest, totaling six farms in turfgrass production. Job info: The forklift operator’s sole responsibility is loading of customer’s trucks and trailers with accuracy, safety and quality awareness. These responsibilities also include, but are not limited to: · Operating various forklifts in the most efficient manner. · Performing routine daily and weekly maintenance and cleaning of harvesting equipment. · Working with others to meet harvesting goals. · Performing some manual labor. · Assists with any other jobs on the farm as needed. · Ability to work flexible hours to include, but not limited to, early weekday mornings, an early Saturday, or an occasional Sunday. · Ability to work in adverse weather conditions. This work must be handled efficiently with attention to quality and safety. REQUIREMENTS: · Ability to lift, push, pull heavy materials frequently. (up to 70 lbs) · Must be proficient in operating and working with farm equipment/tractors and forklifts. · Willingness and ability to be trained in all phases of company operations. · Must be able to follow instructions and have some computer skills. · Valid Colorado driver's license and clean driving record required. · Maintenance/field mechanical skills required. · Ability to multi-task and solve problems. · Sod farm experience preferred but will train the right person!
