Meet Swejin. He came to us over a month ago, when he was almost 2 weeks old, when someone destroyed his nest. He's been hand fed until he could eat and drink on his own. He's about 6 weeks old now and doing well but he's bored. We have a dog who would love to eat swejin when he flies around the house looking for a head or shoulder to roost on. So to prevent that we have to kennel the dog for Swejin to have some exercise, which probably makes the dog want to eat him more. Swejin needs an owner who has more time for him to be free and enjoy with them. He's not an outside bird and his new home would have to have him housed inside. He does enjoy flying around the house from the book shelf to a head and then to another head or shoulder. Will fly to your hands if you hold them up. His new home would also need to be his permanent home as he may live quite awhile and we don't want him to be part of the cycle of frequent owner changes. We had little choice in taking him in or he wouldn't have made it through the night on the ground. But we were not prepared and want his new owner to be.
