Back Up Route Driver

Smallish, family owned company is in search of a back up driver. We have daily afternoon routes that pick up mail and packages and returns them to our shop for processing. This person would be on call and fill in when our regular drivers are out on vacation, or out sick etc. We'd give you as much lead time as possible, but sometimes it would be same day. We would not expect you to be available ALL the time at the last minute of course, but someone with a flexible lifestyle would be great. In the past, we've had semi-retired folks, or students that have worked out really well. Here is some more detail on the position: * M-F approximately 1:00PM to 4:30PM * Company Vehicle - minivan or hatchback * Minor lifting required - loading and unloading mail trays (20 lbs. max) * Option for more hours helping out when we are busy (optional) * Weekly Hours will vary - probably 5-10 We value and respect everyone on our team here!
