2.5 Yr Old Female Border Collie Mix needs furever home

Description

We have made the difficult decision to rehome our 2.5 year old spayed female BC-Heeler mix Leeloo. There are too many behavior concerns in our home to keep her any longer (we have 3 children and our entire block is full of little kids and other dogs). We have given her tons of love, training, and behaviorist observation/programs plus anxiety meds. We have strictly followed those programs. Where it got us was a dog with a HUGE vocabulary, tons of hand signals, hundreds of hours of stimulation games and tricks, a broad understanding of anxiety-behavior spectrum issues, and the knowledge that she will never get "better" or what she needs in her current environment. She is a bite and attack risk. She needs to be at a home that is completely out of the city and away from the constant stimulation that a city provides. She is ready for work, shepherd whistle training, and would do well with farm animals or protecting your home as a guard dog. She cannot go to a home with small children (she thinks they are her sheep), or a home with small dogs. She is fine with our cat and seems to like the yellow lab right next door. She will come with all her toys, beds, food, and leash. There is no rehoming fee unless we need to drive more than 60 miles radius from us. Then, we will negotiate. We are located in NE PDX. PM me here for questions. She is cross posted to several sites.
