PAID JOB OPPORTUNITY: Burlington July 3rd Celebration Hi there! Waste Free Earth is hiring for the Burlington July 3rd Celebration as one of our Zero Waste Squad members! We're Waste Free Earth, the event's zero waste partner. Our main objective is to divert as much waste away from the landfill as possible and into composting and recycling initiatives. Although this is a last-minute gig, we are confident we will be able to exceed expectations. We're looking for multiple down-to-earth and enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about zero waste and don't mind getting a little dirty to help make that possible. The Zero Waste Squad is the most vital part of our operations. You will be educating attendees on what is recyclable, compostable, and landfill items. Don't worry - we will give you on-site training about all the products and PLEASE don't ever be afraid to ask us questions - that's what we are here for! We aren't going to lie, this is a hard job and you will be active for most of your shift. But hey, we are all in this together and always have a ton of fun! So if you have a positive attitude and willingness to work, you will fit in GREAT! We have three shifts up for grabs on July 3rd and one on July 4th, you can work one or you can work both days. However, there are no changes in the shift times. July 3rd: 12:30 PM - 6:30 PM (6 hours with 30 minute break) July 3rd : 6:30 PM - 12:30 AM (6 hours with 30 minute break) July 3rd: 7:00 PM - 12:00 AM SORTING SHIFT (5 hours with 30 minute break) July 4th: 10 AM - 4 PM SORTING SHIFT (6 hours with 30 minute break) This job pays $15 an hour in addition to $3 an hour for holiday pay and hazardous pay, totaling $18 an hour. Sorting shifts get paid $20 an hour. Payment will be given to you right after your shift, cash or check, whichever you prefer. We are passionate about the work that we do and we hope you are too!
