Looking to hire an event coordinator to assist with organizing, planning, and executing Gravity Powered Air Derbies, which are similar in operation to Pine Wood Derbies that many are familiar with. The target audience is elementary school age children in grades 2 through 6 • Home school gatherings • Public and private schools • Cub and Girl Scout groups • Especially well suited for STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math) training Ideal for students, or those with experience in: Communications, Public Relations, Political Science, Journalism, Direct Marketing, Event Management, Film Studies. and Production. Must be available for one to two days most weeks, for the remainder of 2022. Pre-event tasks include, but are not limited to: • Customer outreach and cold calls • Volunteer Enrollment and Coordination • Obtaining publicity authorization release • Event progress report emails and scheduling Day of event tasks include but are not limited to: • Overseeing the event set-up and execution • Coordinate the filming of a highlight video • Leading the volunteers by assigning them tasks • Post-event clean-up, breakdown and video uploading Required Skills and Qualifications: • Outgoing and upbeat personality • Comfortable with making professional phone calls and emails • Excellent time management skills Preferred Skills and Qualifications: • Experience using basic functions in Excel • Basic video editing and powerpoint presenting You may view a prototype launch at gwiz.space Please attach your resume to your reply.
