Heavy-Music DRUMMER available...

Description

Experienced and hard-hitting drummer, 40s, available for rehearsals with an established band OR a solid guitarist and bassist of similar age and ability. I have been actively playing since I was 10. I've played on original compositions that I helped create, cover bands, tribute bands, and have done lots of live and studio gigs. I am primarily influenced by heavy guitar- based music from the days of "yester-year"- when music had balls and substance. I really don't like many bands that emerged after 2000, with few exceptions. My focus and playing style draws alot from heavier bands from the 70s and 80s...(Black Sabbath, Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Rush, Aerosmith, Alice Cooper, James Gang, The Who, Van Halen, AC/DC, Thin Lizzy, Uriah Heep, Judas Priest, UFO, King Crimson, Blue Oyster Cult, Scorpions, Queen, ZZ Top, Nazareth, pre-80's KISS, Cheap Trick) but I like other music from that era as well. Back when musicians could actually play their instruments, lol... I'm also into 90s doom metal, desert/stoner rock, and some grunge bands. Perfectly capable of playing that style, too. Not into doing all-originals, unless I'm part of the initial writing process. I'm also OK with banging out 15-20 heavy covers that aren't overplayed or weak. Eclectic, deep tracks are what I'm going for as far as cover songs. I'm certainly not in this for the money, as this scene is pretty lame compared to places I've thrived as a musician earlier in my life. I'd just like to get a couple sets of music together and see where it takes us. Bars can wait- I'd rather play some tunes we like than play what's popular or "expected"... no thanks to that. Would ideally like to get (2) 45 minute set-lists going that we all collectively agree on, then progress from there. Only reply if you're serious and think you have time to do this, once a week at my place. No hobbyists or flakes needed. Reply with a local PHONE number and let's chat to see if we're on the same page or not. I won't do email chains or texts until we talk. Save your time if you have no contact info. I'm in no hurry to get this going- as I'm seeking quality musicians that I am compatible with. That's what is most important.
