Description

I have an approximately 4 year old American Stratfordshire terrier that we rescued From the shelter 2 years ago. We actually went to look at another dog and were unable to get it, so we walked down to just take a look and he was the only dog that was not barking. You could see the look in his eyes, he just had such a sweet personality. He is smart, so very smart. He listens very well. He is housetrained and listens to basic commands (sit, stay, come). He loves to ride in the car!!! He does well with other pets. I had another dog and even a newborn kitten. He knows when to be gentle and plays great together. With the new kitten, he would stand watch over it and go check on him he time he meowed. I don’t allow him on the furniture, but he does sleep in the bed sometimes-he will wait to be asked though. He is so smart and so sweet. He loves to run outside or just lay in the sun and relax! He does great with children as I have a now 7 year old, I wanted to make sure my child was safe around him. He is protective over my son and myself and has never been aggressive at all towards my son. He has been chipped and had his shots. He has also been neutered. I work very long hours and I am gone way too much. He has figured out how to get off of his collar, so I can not leave him outside. I’m gone too long for him to stay inside all day. He will stay in the yard when you are out there with him. I would love for him to go somewhere with a fenced in yard and with a family that can be home with him more to give him the time and attention he deserves. I would also greatly appreciate to stay in contact to see how he adjust and make sure he’s OK! This is not a decision I came to lately. I have been debating back and forth on this for the past two months. I know I will not get so lucky to find another dog like this-he is special, smart and good natured.
