We are looking for a Junior Mixer Mechanic with great work ethic and friendly attitude to join our team! Job Description: Perform inspections, diagnostics and repairs for heavy equipment fleet, under the direction of senior mechanic. Responsibilities: Complete repair orders Observe all safety precautions and rules specified by federal, state, and Company regulations Wear all PPE (approved hard hat, vest, safety glasses, gloves, long pants, safety toed boots) Coordinates with skilled/assigned supervisor for the purpose of completing projects and work orders safe and efficiently. Perform routine vehicle maintenance Perform routine brake inspections/adjustments on commercial vehicles following Federal DOT requirements Troubleshoot and repairs hydraulic systems, electronics, and other components of a concrete mixer truck Removes components for repair or replacement Perform quality inspections Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management Qualifications: Previous experience as a mechanic (preferred) Knowledge of shop equipment High school diploma (preferred) Bilingual is a plus Be able to read, write, and speak English Diesel Knowledge Deadline and detail-oriented Pre-employment Drug Test required Working Conditions: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Ability to thrive in a tight space environment Continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and working outdoors Ability to work long hours Must wear protective equipment while at locations Heavy work: must regularly lift and/or move up to 60lbs Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree Benefits We offer competitive wages, medical, dental, sick pay, vacation pay, and holiday pay.
