Description
Yin yoga is meant to calm the nervous system. We spend time in various poses so our bodies can let go. Think being rather than doing; passive rather than active! Yin yoga poses are held for a longer period of time and allow for the fascia/ connective tissues and major muscle groups of the body to release tension. Yin yoga is a great way to manage aches and pains as well as stresses that you may be holding on to. This class **YIN AND RESTORE OUTDOOR YOGA** will take place in Childs Park on the corner of Woodlawn Ave and Prospect St (You can navigate to Nuttelman's Florists on Google Maps, which is across the street from the park) COVID19 Safety Procedures: Masks are optional. Distance your mat as you feel comfortable. OTHER THINGS TO KNOW: - PARKING: Free parking is on the perimeter of Childs Park - DONATION BASED: This is a donation-based class so we can keep bringing you outdoor yoga affordably through the warm months! If you can, the donation sliding scale is $10-18 but whatever you are able to give is accepted. Both Cash and Venmo are accepted. (Venmo code is @Heather-Kovaci) - OPEN LEVELS: This class is appropriate for people of all ages and levels. I can provide modifications if the poses are not working with your personal tension/injuries/etc that you may have if you ask me before or during class. - BRING: water, yoga mat, layers for our cool down, and an open mind! - COME PREPARED: There are no bathrooms or amenities in the park. Please come prepared with your own water and layers (sweater/blanket) as it sometimes gets chilly towards sunset as we calm the nervous system, etc. YOGA TEACHER: Heather Kovaci Find her on Instagram at @heather_kovaci_yoga or on YouTube at Heather Kovaci.
