Cardiovascular Institute of the South (CIS) is hosting a free health screening on Tuesday, June 28th from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at 422 Kade Drive in Jennings. Guests will receive a complimentary Ankle Brachial Index (ABI) and Thermal Imaging Screenings. An ABI simple, painless exam is used to test the blood flow in the legs to determine risk of vascular disease. Thermal imaging screening which uses new technology that can detect venous insufficiency. Results will be reviewed on site. Risk factors of cardiovascular disease include family history, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and diabetes, as well as smoking, being overweight or being inactive.
