Description
Dear Medfield Community and Medfield Post Office, The volunteers of the Medfield Food Cupboard want to thank the Medfield community for the generosity shown during this year's "Stamp Out Hunger" Postal Food Drive that was held on Saturday, May 14th.
We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to: Medfield's hardworking postal workers who collected hundreds of bags of food from homes across Medfield, the many residents who donated thousands of pieces of shelf-stable food, the United Church of Christ that generously donated space for the event, and the many thoughtful volunteers who showed up to help sort and transport the food to the Medfield Food Cupboard for shelving and storage.
We would especially like to thank the Girl Scouts of Troop# 82361 and the many Medfield Middle and High School students who were among the volunteers this year. The support of our community volunteers never fails to inspire us!
The Annual Postal Food Drive is one of our key drives each Spring and is especially important this time of year when donations tend to slow down. It is truly thanks to your kind generosity that the Food Cupboard is able to serve many families in need of support. The kindness we see from Medfield employees, businesses and residents is heartwarming; we could not operate without the generous donations from our amazing community.
Thank you again,
The Medfield Food Cupboard Volunteers
