The Art of Building Common Ground July 12th and 13th from 10:00 a.m. till 3:30 p.m. both daysParticipants: Local teens leaders and global teen leaders from Iraq. Purpose:* Build relationships between local students and Iraq students by experiencing the power of High Performance Play that embraces creativity, diversity, inclusion, and cultural collaboration. This is a two-day interactive global youth leadership program focused on understanding the impact of inclusivity and diversity, while building teams quickly toward a common goal. Objective: Local teens and teens from Iraq will discover ways to promote mutual understanding between their two countries through engaging activities, small group projects, and large group discussions. Students will also be involved with an on-sight service-learning opportunity. Pulling from the best leadership and stewardship practices each participant will be challenged to think bigger than their world by focusing on becoming a more global minded citizen that contributes in positive ways to not only their community but the world. This program will also address ways we are challenged by differences and how we can own our voice while allowing others the same privilege so that bridges of understanding are built, and consensus is realized. Fun and highly enjoyable, students should prepare to have a great day of self-discovery. ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST FILL OUT A REGISTRATION FORM. Click Here! Preparation: This is an indoor and outdoor program. There will be a lot of physical activities. Participants should dress accordingly and wear comfortable clothes and shoes. *Students are asked to committ to both full days for the integrity of the group! Cost: $79.00 for two-day program.*You will be billed after regisration is recieved. Scholarships available Included: All supplies, snacks, drinks, and lunch are included in this 2-day program. *Outdoor activities will be moved inside and altered in increment weather.
