Description

The nonprofit Alexander & Baldwin Sugar Museum is seeking energetic and able volunteers for a few hours of gardening, yard work and general cleanup of the historic museum grounds in Puunene on Saturday, June 18, from 9-12. After a short, guided tour of the museum, volunteers will pull weeds, rake, sweep, prune and trim hedges, dispose of random items, and weed whack around the outdoor displays. Participants must be physically capable of being outdoors in the sun and wind performing light gardening duties, and at least one person each is needed to operate a gas weed whacker and a gas hedge trimmer. A limited number of tools, equipment and gloves are provided by the Museum. Wear a hat, sunscreen, closed toed shoes, and bring your favorite gloves or tools.
