Los Angeles Times presents the Indie Focus Screening Series: special screenings of independent films, each followed by a Q&A with the film's cast and/or crew. Join us at 7:00pm June 14th to watch BRIAN AND CHARLES sponsored by Focus Features. After the screening we will screen a Q&A with director Jim Archer, writer/actor David Earl, and producer Rupert Majendie in conversation with L.A. Times’ film writer Mark Olsen. Undeterred by his lack of success, Brian attempts his biggest project yet. Three days, a washing machine, and various spare parts later, he’s invented Charles, an artificially intelligent robot who learns English from a dictionary and has an obsession with cabbages.
