Summit Seltzer, PPL Strategy, and Breakaway Music Festival present ZELTZERFEST: A Non-Fungible Rager for Charity, a culmination of local music, art, and businesses from the Charlotte community. All proceeds and donations from this event will go towards Denzel “Zell” Irvin’s medical bills from a recent heart transplant. Zell is a former UNCC football player who suffered a stroke on March 29th and learned that his heart was failing. On April 25th, Zell received a life-saving heart transplant. Although the transplant was successful and Zell was released from the hospital on May 3rd, the burden of recovery and medical bills has become something no 26-year-old should have to go through. Zell is a personal trainer known as “Coach Zell” to many in the Charlotte community through his efforts running women’s training nights and youth mentorship. Summit Seltzer has partnered with Hopp to create a seltzer by PPL Strategy called “NFA Zeltzer,” with proceeds being donated to Zell. Kristin Cagney, founder of Summit Seltzery and UNCC grad school alum, and Evan Shirreffs, managing director of PPL Strategy and a teammate of Zell at UNCC, have come together to throw this community event to offer support for a fellow Niner. Come out Friday, June 10th to try “NFA Zeltzer” and an evening that will surely show that charity can be the furthest thing from boring. Let’s rage!
