Join SCDNR staff deploying a recycled oyster reef at Patriot's Point in Mount Pleasant. SCDNR staff will be transporting volunteers via boat from Remleys Point Public Boat Landing to the Deployment site. Due to the site location, volunteers must be able to lift heavy bags, withstand working outside and must be 16 years and older (high schoolers must be accompanied by an adult.)
What to wear/bring:
-Closed-toe shoes (no crocs or flip flops! Boots or old sneakers recommended)
-Clothes that can get dirty & wet
-Reusable water bottle
-Change of clothes/shoes for afterwards
-Sunscreen, bug spray, gloves, and eye protection will be provided, but feel free to bring your own!
Parking: Please park at the Remleys Point Public Boat Landing (make sure to park in car parking spots, not trailer spots!)
