Press release from the City of Louisville: June 1, 2022 Free concerts will be scheduled every Friday evening through July 8 Louisville – Louisville is getting into the swing of summer with live music! Swing 39, a swing and jazz band, will kick off a six-week series of free outdoor concerts this summer in Louisville's Beechmont neighborhood. From June 3 through July 8, the performances will start at 6:30 p.m. each Friday at the Woodlawn Gazebo located at the corner of W Woodlawn Ave and Southern Parkway. The Beechmont Neighborhood Association and Councilwoman Nicole George (D-21) are producing the summer concert series, featuring local artists performing a variety of live music each weekend. This year's performers reflect the diverse mix of people and culture that make up Beechmont and the surrounding South End Neighborhoods. Sponsors include Swags Sports Shoes, Place & Maker Studio, Louisville Federation of Musicians, and the Metro Council Offices of Nicole George, Kevin Triplett (D-15), Rick Blackwell (D-12) and Amy Holton Stewart (D-25).
