Description

The Spahr Center’s Harm Reduction program needs volunteers! Fight the opioid epidemic by engaging your community. Help Marin get to zero overdoses. Distribute Narcan. Help clients learn safer-use habits. Help clients find recovery programs. Refer clients for HIV and Hep C testing. About us: The Spahr Center is a Marin community non-profit. Our harm reduction program focuses on lowering rates of overdoses, HIV transmission, and Hep C transmission, while dealing with the realities of substance use with real information instead of stigma. Our program needs reliable adult volunteers for any/all the following shifts: • Mondays 1-3PM syringe access service at the San Rafael homeless camp • Mondays 5:30-7:30PM syringe access service at the Health & Human Svcs building on Kerner • Tuesdays in-office program prep work • Wednesdays 11AM-3PM syringe access service in 3 Novato locations • Wednesdays 5:30-7:30PM syringe access service at the Fairfax library parking lot • Thursdays 1-3PM syringe access service at the Ritter Center • Fridays 11AM-1PM syringe access service at the Sausalito homeless camp • Fridays 5:30-7:30PM syringe access service at the Novato Behavioral Health & Recovery Services bldg. parking lot.
