Children progress most effectively when they are in a relaxed, well-equipped and stimulating environment which offers them many opportunities for exploration and discovery. Our collaborative learning is play-based, shared learning, and scaffolding using the Reggio Emilia approach. Community Care Preschool offers the following activities:
STEM
Indoors and outdoors, we integrate science, technology, engineering and math to help develop critical thinking skills.
sensory play
SENSORY PLAY
Our natural materials for play build nerve connections to the brain, develop motor skills, support language development and encourage scientific thinking and problem solving.
MANIPULATIVES
Blocks and puzzles develop fine motor skills, eye-hand coordination, and visual discrimination. It offers opportunities to make comparisons of similarities and differences, matching, classification, and pattern recognition.
LITERACY
Developing rich vocabulary in early childhood years promotes self-expression and precise oral communication.
ART
Children practice skills like patterning and cause and effect. They practice critical thinking skills
by making a mental plan of what they intend to create and following through with the plan.
