Emanuel Prep has partnered with Columbus's PREMIERE STEAM organization, Let’s Grow STEAMx to bring our Scholars a SUPER SUMMER race car camp experience! Let's Grow STEAMx brings together local educators, businesses, organizations, and community members to help our PreK-12 students discover and cultivate excitement for the STEAM disciplines of science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. Their platform hosts a variety of engaging and relevant events to include educational challenges, the Let's Grow STEAMx College and Career Expo and the River City Race Program! Now, Emanuel Prep is inviting YOUR SCHOLAR to join the EP Race Team! The expectation is that if your Scholar registers for and attends camp, he will also join us as a member of this summer's race team. Here's how it will work: We will offer a 5-day NO-COST Mini Race Car Summer Camp June 20-24, 2022 to introduce Scholars to the world of Soap Box Derby racing. During camp, Scholars will design, build and race their very own mini race cars which are theirs to keep. The following week, June 27-30, 2022 and July 5-8, 2022 if needed, Scholars and their race car mentors will build a FULL-SIZED soap box derby race car that will be used in the upcoming River City Soap Box Derby Race scheduled for July 23, 2022 in Columbus, Georgia. There is a $100 race fee that each Scholar's family is required to pay. This fee covers the Scholar's t-shirt, insurance and race entry, payable directly to Let's Grow STEAMx, not Emanuel Prep (a separate link will be provided from LGSX to receive your payment).
