Hello Craigslist. I’m a 28 year old guitarist with decent gear and some home recording equipment. I used to be very active in metal and punk bands in Southern California but haven’t been in an active band since moving to Washington in 2019. I miss jamming and playing gigs and being creative with music and being part of the metal community and I’m looking to get back into it. Ideally I’d like to play doom/sludge/post metal kind of stuff, but I’m open to other metal genres if you happen to be in a band looking for a guitar player. I love all types of extreme music but some stuff I’ve been really inspired by recently are artists like isis, amenra, eyehategod, lingua ignota, sleep, windhand, conan, thou, mastodon, etc. I have some classical training and some recording and touring experience. Looking to play mostly local though. Looking for a drummer, bassist, vocalist, or second guitarist to start and build from there. Don’t reach out if you’re maga, anti vax, blue lives matter, or any of that stupid right wing shit. Other than that, hope there are some like minded folks out there who see this and reach out.
