We must be our sister’s keeper. At some point, we must learn that each girl’s destiny is tied to the community of girls that have her back. We have learned the secret. Let us teach you how to be a safe haven for one another and for our own selves. After all, love starts with self, and spreads unto everyone around us. This event is dedicated to the girls who believe that they are alone- the girls who are going through life without the security of a sisterhood. As women/ girls, we have all been through similar issues. We are often silenced by our journeys because of the shame and the guilt- thinking no one understands. You are not alone. We do understand. Let’s come together and stand in our truths and be a listening ear- this will help someone! GIRL GET UP- somebody has been where you are! GIRL GET UP- someone can help you get to your breakthrough! GIRL GET UP- you will not let what you have been through dictate your future! GIRL GET UP- you will create in you the person you want to be, not who society has painted you out to be. GIRL GET UP- the value of sisterhood is pivotal to our destiny. Girl Get up- It’s you and me who will change the world, you’ll see!!!
