Description

Hello there, my family is considering rehoming our 8 MONTH OLD Doberman male puppy. WHAT WE LOVE ABOUT HIM: -Velcro dobie: Super intimate, affectionate, smart, energetic, & pretty trainable since he’s treat motivated! 🐶🦴 -Knows: sit, lie down, & head. In progress: leave it (for treats), “get up” (go on a chair/couch/bed), “get off” (getting off a chair/couch/bed) -Great on the leash -When serving his food, he excitedly runs to his crate or pen & waits for permission to eat 🥺❤️ -Tail docked, dewclaws removed, ears intact 🐶 -Up to date on exam, vaccines (Rabies, Bordetella, DAPP, Leptospirosis, Influenza), dewormed, on Simparica Trio (to prevent flea/tick/heartworm), & no health issues *NO SIGNS OF AGGRESSION TO OUR DOGS (even if they try to nip him) OR EVEN OUR 2 GUINEA PIGS, BUT SLOW TO WARM UP W/ SOME NEW PEOPLE & SOME DOGS -Because he’s fairly shy & a slow to warm up pup, his new owner would have to continue properly socializing w/ positive experiences & training him. He’s still a young pup so he’s been making great progress w/ that so far! *Not fixed yet but can happily help arrange during adoption. BACKGROUND: We purchased him from a family who was moving out of state, and couldn’t take him. I feared he’d end up in the wrong hands (e.g. backyard breeder or shelter), so my mom & I couldn’t say no to at least fostering him at my mom’s house (I live in an apt so I can’t in my home). Sadly, we can’t keep him any longer b/c our 3 senior dogs & my sisters can’t tolerate his size+strength+high puppy energy. I don’t want my little ones unintentionally getting hurt even though he’s simply wanting to play all the time. We thought our 40 lb mutt would love to play w/ him to keep both of them exercised & out of trouble, but my boy shows no interest in playing w/ our dobie pup. He gets jealous & intimidates/scares our poor dobie pup. 😥 **We’re searching for an owner familiar w/ high energy large breeds and a gentle sibling to play w/ b/c he’s always trying to play with our 2 little ones but they're just too small & delicate for him.💔** Rehoming fee of $700 (includes his food/favorite toys/treats/leash/collar/blanket to get started if you’d like!) Sorry if the price seems high but we just want to at least get 1/2 of his original rehome fee + expenses, even though we’ve spent 2x as much for all his expenses (food/treats/toys/potty pads/crates/pens/beds/clothes/leashes/harnesses/collars/vet exams/vaccines/deworming/flea+tick medication/first aid/grooming/etc), not to mention all the dedicated training time, + gas money (3-5 hrs driving/wk) I invested to train him on my days off work! Tysm for reading. If interested, email me, and I’ll try to reply asap. If seriously interested in adopting him, I’ll give my # to set up a meet n greet 😊 Pls share if you know someone who may be interested. 🙏❤️🐾
