Exactly how is placing armed security guards at schools an idiotic idea? It's a fact that people set on committing a violent act are less prone to attack if they feel that the victims may be able to defend themselves. We protect our politicians, our banks, large sporting events and other venues, and many many other people and businesses, and you don't bat an eye. But protecting our children is off limits? No, your very wrong. 911 happened and they tightened up security at airports and on airplanes. How many more schools need to be attacked before they do the same for our kids? More liberal / democrat ideas that aren't answers.
