We are a small local handyman and remodeling firm. We do a little moving, a little yardwork, a bit of painting, tile, flooring, etc. We have 10-30 hours a week of possible work. An ideal candidate is not someone looking for an 8am to 5 pm Mon-Friday job. Most of our employees work part time setting up for concerts, theaters, bartending at night etc, and want a nice chunk of house between 9:30 and 3:00 4-5 days a week elsewhere. We are open to training people with limited skills, but if you've never patched a wall, installed flooring, or swapped a few lights you probably need more training than we can offer at this time. This is an independent contracting opportunity so it's nearly mandatory that you have reliable transportation. We work almost exclusively in Carrboro and Chapel Hill and we are looking for someone local given how high gas prices are. Position is temporary but there is always a possibility that someone might stay on for longer depending on how things go.
