Hi, I'll be succinct... First off, if we're playing together it's pretty much a given that you would be open to doing YouTube videos on a regular basis etc also do a lot of videos for Facebook and Instagram. I currently have about 1,300 subscribers on youtube, but my Facebook audience is much bigger.... I'm interested in forming a trio, you could say "modern jazz" but, honestly, nearly any song or genre could be incorporated easily... I'm pretty experienced with playing the guitar polyphonically, so I would be fulfilling a role similar to that of The pianist, in your classic trio format. Here are some clips of me playing: https://youtu.be/DFmQe-YgXcM https://youtu.be/g565iq0_QSM https://youtu.be/02wNzhTRzpcL https://youtu.be/9D7AR3r7ifk https://youtu.be/sdMv04EJ1f8 https://youtu.be/a5-SDiasAzo BASSISTS::::::::::: I really like upright Bass, especially when someone can actually play the thing. I'm possibly trying to do a Brad Mehldau kind of trio here (in addition to going over to like a slight Pat Metheny thing) in addition to virtually anything else...... in other words "fusion", but with a focus on straight ahead changes playing, etc ..... really, someone who just has some decent chops and and wants to do interesting things with their instrument (s), etc. I'm also open to electric players, particularly fretless. I used to listen to a lot of tribal Tech as well, so the whole Gary Willis thing, the mot juste.... DRUMMERS:::::::::: I wouldn't say that I'm terribly picky about drummers, it's just that I would need to find somebody that can actually play standard tunes, in a convincing, authoritative, I know how to play the real s***, kind of way... So I could definitely just do the whole gig swing, but I was thinking it would be interesting to kind of combine that aesthetic with funk music, kind of, electric fusion but leaning more towards the Mike Stern Dennis Chambers thing, kind of some acoustic jazz influence....and really just anything (FUSION) kind of in the spirit of Joe Zawinul, weather report or even Pat Metheny, John McLaughlin, Corea, etc. But not carbon copying anything, just referencing the overall mood. Again, I typically play two or three parts at the same time on most tunes, so there's a potentiality for a more dynamic sound there in addition to, dare I say it, orchestrations... Gasp. I also dabble in finger drumming, like David Haynes, for example. https://youtu.be/40NCb6uaw78 .... Basically some super chill ass mother f******,
